I am a researcher at the University Medical Center Groningen. With a background in interventional radiology, my research focuses on the management of vascular diseases, particularly peripheral artery disease and vascular complications following liver transplantation, such as hepatic artery and portal vein complications. I currently serve as the coordinating investigator of the HEPatic Artery stenosis and Thrombosis after liver transplantation In Children (HEPATIC) registry. This international initiative includes data from 27 centers across 20 countries and six continents, covering over 10,000 pediatric liver transplantations over a 20-year period. Through this work, I aim to improve our understanding of post-transplant arterial complications and contribute to better outcomes for pediatric patients.
