Dr. Ioannis (Yiannis) A. Ziogas is a General Surgery Resident at the University of Colorado. He is currently pursuing a 3-year Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Pediatric and Transplant Surgery at Children’s Hospital Colorado along with a PhD in Clinical Investigation at the University of Colorado. He graduated summa cum laude (top 3%) from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Medical School, Greece in 2019. Before starting his residency in 2022, he completed a Master of Public Health from the University of Edinburgh, UK and a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Pediatric and Adult HPB and Transplant Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Upon completion of his residency, he aspires to pursue a career in pediatric hepatobiliary and transplant surgery. Ioannis has obtained several research awards and has extensive experience in clinical and translational research with >130 publications.
